Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how The Artist Tool ("the App", "we", "us") handles information. The App is published by Harold Hersey ("the Developer"). Questions? Contact haroldhhersey@gmail.com.

Short version: The App has no accounts and does not collect or upload your personal information. Your photos, value studies, palettes, and everything you create stay on your device. This version contains no advertising, no ad SDK, no analytics, and no features that send anything anywhere — there is no service, ours or anyone else's, for the App to connect to.

1. Information the App itself collects

None that leaves your device. The App has no user accounts, no login, and no analytics or crash‑reporting SDKs. Specifically:

Your images and creations — photos you import or capture, value studies, crops, straightened images, subject cutouts, color palettes, and wall mockups are processed entirely on your device and stored only in the App's local storage. They are never transmitted to us or any third party.
Camera — used only to let you photograph your work or references. Captured images are handled on‑device; we do not receive them.
Photo Library — used only to import images you choose and to save results you ask the App to save. We do not scan or upload your library.
File timestamps — the App reads the modification dates of files it created in its own storage container to sort your recent items newest‑first (declared in the App's privacy manifest, reason C617.1). This never leaves the device.

We, the Developer, therefore do not collect, store, sell, or share any personal information about you.

2. No advertising, no analytics, no third‑party services

This version of the App contains:

No advertising and no advertising SDK. The Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) SDK is not part of the App, no ads are requested or displayed, and no ad or device identifier is read or shared.
No analytics, attribution, or crash‑reporting services. Nothing measures how you use the App and reports it to anyone.
No AI or online image search. The App does not send your images — or anything else — to Google Gemini, Pixabay, Pexels, or any other service.

There is no server of ours, and no third‑party service, for the App to connect to. Images that ship inside the App (for example the room backdrop used for the wall mockup, licensed from Pexels) are part of the download, not something the App fetches. The Privacy Policy, Terms, and Support links shown in the App open this website in your browser, only when you tap them — that is a connection your browser makes, not the App, and it carries nothing about your work.

3. Purchases

This version of the App offers no in‑app purchases and no subscriptions. Any App Store transaction, including the download itself, is handled by Apple under Apple's terms; we do not receive your name, payment card, or billing details. Apple provides us only anonymous, aggregate sales information. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

4. Children

The App is a general‑audience creativity tool and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). Because the App collects no personal information at all, shows no advertising, and transmits nothing off the device, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children. 5. Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA and similar)

Because we do not collect personal data, we hold nothing to access, correct, port, or delete on our side. No third party receives personal information from the App either, so there is no outside processing for you to object to or ask about.

EEA/UK users: The App uses no advertising or tracking identifiers and performs no processing of personal data, so there is no consent to give or withdraw. Should a future version add anything that processes personal data, it will ask for your consent first and this policy will be updated in the same release.
California users: We do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. You have the right to know and delete; contact us to exercise it.

6. Data retention and security

Everything the App creates stays in the App's own storage on your device and is removed when you delete the item or uninstall the App. We hold no copy because we never receive it, and neither does anyone else — there is no transmission to intercept and no server‑side copy to secure.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, noted in the App. If a future version adds a feature that connects to the internet, this policy will be updated in the same release that ships it, before the feature can be used.
